BRAZILIAN – AMERICAN CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
Transforming Utah's Capital City
On Monday, August 28, 2006, the first draft vision of Downtown Rising was published and distributed through The Salt Lake Tribune and the Deseret Morning News. Please review that vision and also the new dedicated Downtown Rising website -where you can give your input on the future of Utah's downtown. Downtown Salt Lake City is on the rise. Thanks to a very strong economy, attractive business fundamentals and visionary business leaders, more than $1.5 billion will be invested in a ten-block area downtown during the next five years – more in a shorter period than any previous time. This historic investment will transform the city skyline and shape Utah’s capital city for decades to come.

Everything about business in the Salt Lake Area
Since 1902, the Salt Lake Chamber has helped businesses grow and prosper. Today, the Chamber is the largest and most aggressive business organization in Utah. The Chamber is accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, an honor earned by fewer than 10 percent of chambers across the country. The Salt Lake Chamber is a private, non-profit organization that represents businesses statewide. The Chamber is not a government agency, a branch of city hall, or a state or federally supported organization. The Chamber is a business association and volunteer organization supported by nearly 1,000 volunteers from among 2,000 member firms. The entire staff at the Chamber has a great deal of expertise and is strongly committed to helping our members succeed.
